Our schedules require so much of our attention
and energy. So why do we hold prayer
every Wed morning?
It is not just another responsibility for us to attend, no
it is an opportunity to come and recharge.
It is an opportunity to fellowship with others here in Placentia who has
walked in your shoes.
We have purposely stayed away from making it about creating
collaboration, so that our work does not interfere with the natural growth in
Christ and each other. We believe that
if we simply follow the Lords call to seek Him first then we will find
ourselves producing fruit like it is described in John 15.
After Jesus outlines the importance of remaining in Him he
gives us His command “Love each other as I have loved you.”
We understand that pastor lives can get
busy, but please join us when you can. We pray every Wed morning because it is
a joy and strength to seek the Lord with other ministers and know that body of
Christ is alive and well in Placentia.

Collaboration is important in any community and we have been blessed to see collaboration grow naturally out of relationships. We have enjoyed worshiping together and serving the homeless alongside each other. But there are needs in our community that need focused attention.
The two groups that were working to bring solutions to the struggles we face in our community joined to form the Placentia Collaborative. This group is relatively new and is attempting to facilitate collaboration among the non-profits in our community.
I love sharing with our prayer group about the needs addressed during these meetings, though I would encourage each ministry to send a representative to be quickly informed and able to join in. The collaborative is hosted by Placentia Presbyterian Church and meets for lunch on the second Wed of the month.
