Job is considered the oldest book in the bible and while I was reading it the other morning I focused on Job's response at the end of the first chapter. It was the first sign of worship, in acceptance of the misfortune that fell on his life (including the loss of his children). He chose to honor God saying, "the Lord gives and takes away blessed be the name of the Lord."
If we chose to reflect the Lord's goodness, His faithfulness, His unfailing love, His character, there will be times where we will chose to be steadfast in the midst of a storm.
We have been praying Wed morning consistently for over two years. We are still pressing into see the Lord's faithfulness for Placentia. When we don't see each other for a while we may expect that our friends are like that of Job's. We may imagine our friends look on us with judgment and condemnation even through our affliction.
But if we could have another thought, may we realize that we have a family in Christ praying for your ministry by name, to encourage you and lift you up. Know that you are loved and thought of fondly by fellow ministers of the Gospel of Christ.
